As a lifelong wrestling fan who’s seen my fair share of matches, I can confidently say that the upcoming showdown between Mercedes Mone and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. at AEW All In is shaping up to be one for the ages! The tension between these two powerhouses has been building for weeks, and their verbal jabs have been as sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel.
Last week, Mercedes Mone introduced reinforcement in the form of AEW’s Brickhouse Kamille, who showed her dominance during her AEW debut match. Tonight, Kamille returned to the ring for another bout, this time in a handicap match against Jazmyne Hao and Clara Carter. Once again, Kamille proved her prowess, securing victory. After the match, Mone used the moment to taunt Dr. Britt Baker further, as Baker was still suspended. However, it was announced that Tony Khan had overturned The Bucks’ decision and lifted Baker’s suspension. Mone declared that they could breathe easy regarding Baker until All In, but then Tony Schiavone interrupted with some significant news from Tony Khan. Khan had overturned the suspension and permitted Baker’s return. Though Baker wasn’t physically present, she made an appearance on the video screen.
“Mercedes, no matter what you do – run, hire a bodyguard, or try to get me suspended – it won’t change a thing,” Baker asserted. “This match at All In has been a part of my plan since the beginning, and once I commit to something, I stick with it until the end. Unlike you, who tend to leave when things don’t go your way. You’re not the future. Let’s face facts. For me, AEW is more than just a temporary trend; it’s my home.”
