AEW's Tony Khan Lifts Britt Baker's Suspension on Dynamite

As a lifelong wrestling fan who’s seen my fair share of matches, I can confidently say that the upcoming showdown between Mercedes Mone and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. at AEW All In is shaping up to be one for the ages! The tension between these two powerhouses has been building for weeks, and their verbal jabs have been as sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel.

Last week, Mercedes Mone introduced reinforcement in the form of AEW’s Brickhouse Kamille, who showed her dominance during her AEW debut match. Tonight, Kamille returned to the ring for another bout, this time in a handicap match against Jazmyne Hao and Clara Carter. Once again, Kamille proved her prowess, securing victory. After the match, Mone used the moment to taunt Dr. Britt Baker further, as Baker was still suspended. However, it was announced that Tony Khan had overturned The Bucks’ decision and lifted Baker’s suspension. In response, Baker delivered a promo hinting at Mercedes Mone’s impending loss of the TBS Championship.

Suspension Lifted

Following Kamille’s triumph in the ring, Mone chose to throw a few more verbal punches at her All In opponent, who was yet under suspension by her friends and the EVPs of AEW, The Young Bucks. Mone declared that they could breathe easy regarding Baker until All In, but then Tony Schiavone interrupted with some significant news from Tony Khan. Khan had overturned the suspension and permitted Baker’s return. Though Baker wasn’t physically present, she made an appearance on the video screen.

“Mercedes, no matter what you do – run, hire a bodyguard, or try to get me suspended – it won’t change a thing,” Baker asserted. “This match at All In has been a part of my plan since the beginning, and once I commit to something, I stick with it until the end. Unlike you, who tend to leave when things don’t go your way. You’re not the future. Let’s face facts. For me, AEW is more than just a temporary trend; it’s my home.”

As a woman who has worked tirelessly to carve out a space for myself in the male-dominated world of professional wrestling, I take great pride in my achievements and am determined to continue making history. Mercedes Mone, you may strut your stuff and boast about your successes, but let me remind you that our showdown at All In is not just another match on your resume. It’s a chance for me, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D., to make waves in AEW as the first female wrestler to defeat you.

In this scenario, Mone was furious and shaking her head in disbelief at the prospect of Baker triumphing over her at All In. Kamille seemed to be trying to soothe her. This leads to a climactic showdown on the upcoming Dynamite, prior to the major event. If Baker aims to send a strong message before the pay-per-view, she’ll need to think outside the box to outsmart Mone and her newly appointed enchiridion (enforcer) in their impending faceoff.
