Earlier today, Poncle revealed that the game will debut on both PS4 and PS5 on August 29th at 9 a.m. ET, adhering to the earlier announced summer release schedule. Not only does this mean the base game will be available, but all existing DLC will also be included on day one for PlayStation users, ensuring they can easily catch up on everything that has transpired since its initial release in 2022. It’s expected that the game will sell for $4.99, consistent with its pricing across all current platforms.

If you haven’t played it yet, ‘Vampire Survivors’ is essentially a game that blends bullet-heavy action with roguelike elements. In this title, players aim to endure waves of supernatural creatures (not vampires), testing their survival skills. There are various characters to select, each offering unique skills and abilities. As gameplay progresses, new weapons and skills become available, helping you prolong your survival. The ultimate objective is to last long enough to encounter the Reaper and advance to the next level. Despite its name, ‘Vampire Survivors’ shares only a similar aesthetic with Konami’s Castlevania; otherwise, the series have different gameplay mechanics.
Since its launch, the game “Vampire Survivors” has received numerous free and paid updates. Much like the original game, these add-ons are generally affordable, with expansions priced between $1.99 and $2.49. The higher price point of $2.49 has been reserved for collaborative content, such as the “Among Us” and Contra-themed expansions. The latest paid expansion, “Operation Guns,” based on Contra, was released in May. There are rumors that a collaboration with “Baldur’s Gate 3” might be coming up, but no official announcements have been made about it for several months now. With the upcoming release of the PlayStation version of “Vampire Survivors,” we can hope that the developers will find time to create more DLC!
