Following a wardrobe issue during practice at their training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri, which was highlighted in a team video featuring Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (her husband), the Sports Illustrated model (who is pregnant with their third child) shared her thoughts about the incident on social media.
In her August 7 Instagram story, Brittany (aged 28) humorously commented “I’m sorry I can’t be there to style you” while re-posting the Chiefs’ video, accompanied by a laughing emoji.
Fortunately for me, a lifestyle expert who’s also a proud father to Sterling, aged 3, and Bronze, who’s 22 months old with my partner Brittany, my fashion faux pas didn’t stand out too much. It turned out to be just my padding pants – the padded compression shorts athletes often wear beneath their uniforms.
In the video, Patrick casually tells his teammate Creed Humphrey, “Hey man, I forgot to put on my trousers this morning. Do you think anyone would notice?”
The crew, including fellow Chiefs players and their coaches, keep quiet as Patrick humorously comments, “Perhaps they’ll assume my quad muscles are so large they resemble trousers.”
In the end, the 28-year-old elects to make some changes, then heads back to the locker room, saying goodbye to Creed with “I’ll see you soon.”
Meanwhile, Patrick experiences difficulties with getting dressed during the Chiefs training camp, which continues through August 15th; Brittany too, has been candid regarding her own struggles as her spouse focuses on his football career.
It turns out, she sought advice from her followers about a problematic behavior her son Bronze developed during their family vacation before Patrick’s training camp. This unwanted habit was exacerbated by attending Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour with Travis Kelce.
“While on holiday, we began a not-so-good practice with Bronze by allowing him to watch TV during meals to prevent public tantrums. However, since our return, we’ve been working hard to stop this habit.”
Following an outpouring of wisdom and encouragement from her fans, the Kansas City Current’s co-owner expressed heartfelt thanks in a message.
“She stated, ‘Many of you suggested that I should allow this to pass naturally, as it’s for my tranquility and mental wellbeing, and make decisions that are best for me.’ This advice truly resonated with me, making me feel much more at ease and less burdened by guilt.”
