Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies Video Outlines Setting, Characters, and Narrative

As a devoted Zombies enthusiast who’s been through countless rounds, map variations, and story arcs since the early days of Nacht der Untoten, I must say, Treyarch has once again managed to pique my interest with their latest reveal for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The Terminus map, set six years after the events of Cold War, presents a grim yet intriguing scenario where our beloved characters are forced to work alongside former adversaries to survive.

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that Treyarch has given us a sneak peek into the round-based Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and it looks promising! Among the two maps launching initially, Terminus brings back the Cold War crew, but this time, they’re in a desperate situation. A fresh Intel Drop video offers insights into how the gameplay has evolved since the last title, straight from the development team.

Essentially, Ricthoffen transported our heroes to an unidentified place, and six years have passed since then. Now, they are compelled to work together with their past adversary, Dr. Peck. Over the years, each character has undergone alterations – Weaver grapples with the remorse of his team’s demise, Dr. Grey hardens up, while Carver seeks a new purpose following his rank removal.

Maya, the latest addition to the team, joins forces with Peck in their joint mission to find Maya’s missing brother. Their ultimate objectives, though, are twofold: first, to evade and second, to retaliate against Richtoffen. Treyarch has verified that protagonists can engage in dialogue during gameplay, contributing to the storyline’s development. Players also have the option to select other Operators if they prefer.

On October 25th, the new installment in the Call of Duty: Black Ops series, titled Black Ops 6, is set to release across multiple platforms – Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox One. The Liberty Falls map will be unveiled at the upcoming Call of Duty Next event on August 28th, so keep an eye out for updates regarding the Zombies mode.
