Splitgate 2 Gameplay Reveal Showcases Factions and Their Abilities

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt and a soft spot for anything that harks back to the golden age of Halo, I must say that the unveiling of Splitgate 2 has me absolutely thrilled! The addition of three distinct factions, each with their unique abilities, is a brilliant move that adds depth and strategy to the gameplay.

1047 Games’ “Splitgate 2” has been showcased with an abundance of gameplay clips, revealing the three teams that players can pick during matches. Take a look at them down below.

The groups function independently as distinct social tiers owing to their exclusive talents and responsibilities. Aeros exhibits a knack for swift movement and rapid reloading, enhanced by his ability, while nimbly navigating portals. Conversely, Meridian specializes in utility aspects, deploying healing grenades and erecting domed barriers that slow down enemies within their vicinity.

In contrast to other factions, Sabrask is less dependent on portals; instead, they can maintain control using grenades and Smart Walls. However, the true charm lies in combining and swapping each faction’s abilities during a match. While some of them share similarities with Destiny 2’s classes, it’s fitting, considering the original game draws influence from Halo.

In 2025, the release of Splitgate 2 is scheduled for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Keep an eye out as it will be showcased at Gamescom later this month; we’ll have more updates soon.
