Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood Takes to the Water: Check Out This Exclusive Clip

As a gamer with a heart for nostalgia, I can’t help but feel a wave of excitement when I hear about the seventh season of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. Growing up with Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, it’s fascinating to see how the characters have evolved over time, yet still maintaining their essence. The fact that we’ll get to explore the stories from different perspectives is a game-changer!

As a passionate fan, I’m thrilled to share that starting August 12th, the Emmy-winning PBS Kids series, “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood,” will unveil its seventh season! In an exciting twist, this season will offer a fresh perspective, delving into the lives of Daniel and his beloved friends, not just Daniel alone. For the first time ever in the show’s history, we’ll get to explore their stories!

As a passionate fan, I found myself thrilled as Trolley transformed into a hovercraft-like vessel, complete with a raft and fan, in the video. He was all set to whisk Daniel and his companions away on an unforgettable adventure. Here’s a link if you’d like to witness it for yourself!

Beginning in 2012, a spinoff titled “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” was introduced, boasting nearly 150 episodes to date. This television program revolves around Daniel Tiger and his friend Trolley, both initially introduced as live-action puppets on “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.” The series also features a mix of both familiar and new characters who inhabit the Make-Believe neighborhood. The creative mind behind this show is Angela C. Santomero, known for her work on “Blue’s Clues” and “Super Why,” while production is handled by Fred Rogers Productions.

Here’s the synopsis for the show, per PBS:

Every half-hour episode showcases a tale narrated by Daniel, along with a different story told through the eyes of characters such as Katerina Kittycat, Miss Elaina, O the Owl, Prince Wednesday, Jodi Platypus, Max, and Chrissie. The distinctive ‘Imagination Moments’ from the popular series are also presented to highlight each friend’s unique way of using their imagination.

By centering on these beloved characters from preschool, we’re providing more chances for followers of the show to recognize themselves and feel included while watching.

As a gamer, I’m super excited about Season 7! Not only are there fresh stories and strategic tunes to jam with, but there’s a catchy new potty strategy song too. Plus, we get to explore a brand-new location and hang out with Jodi’s old man, Mr. Plat, who lives beyond the Neighborhood of Make-Believe!

On Monday, you can catch the start of season 7 for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood on PBS Kids, both on their television channel and through their website and mobile app.
