As a lifelong Trigun fan who can remember the original series airing back when I was still in school, I must say that the recent updates and adaptations have been nothing short of thrilling. The reimagining of Nicholas D. Wolfwood by cosplayers is always a treat, but the upcoming sequel, Trigun Stargaze, has my heart racing with anticipation.
The popular anime series “Trigun” continues to hold a special place in many hearts, introducing numerous fans to the tale of Vash the Stampede. The initial anime adaptation appeared in the 1990s, but thanks to Studio Orange and their fresh take on the classic franchise, “Trigun Stampede,” fans have had the chance to revisit Planet Gunsmoke more recently. This year, Orange provided a sneak peek at the eagerly awaited sequel, “Trigun Stargaze.” One cosplayer seized this opportunity to bring a significant side character to life in reality.
Instead of strolling across a desolate planet as a priest, Nicholas D. Wolfwood in the anime is far from it. Rather than preaching sermons, Wolfwood uses his cross, a massive gun with embedded pistols, to launch powerful attacks. Accompanying him is the Humanoid Typhoon. The anime adaptation, Stampede, tweaked some aspects of Wolfwood’s appearance and background, but his fundamental character remained intact.
Wolfwood Unleashes His Weaponry
Although it’s been verified that a new Trigun series titled Stargaze is on the horizon, Studio Orange has remained silent about its release date. Previewing Vash in the upcoming television continuation hints at his design being more aligned with the character’s original portrayal from the 90s anime. It’s possible that Stargaze will incorporate elements reminiscent of the original series, but based on what has been revealed thus far, the sequel seems poised to offer unexpected twists for Trigun enthusiasts.
