Percy Jackson and the Olympians: First Look at Season 2 Released

As a gamer with a soft spot for mythology-based adventures, I must say, the new teaser for Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians has me absolutely thrilled! After binge-watching the first season on Disney+ (and let’s be honest, multiple rewatches), I can hardly wait to delve deeper into the world of Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and their epic quests.

Moving past ending a war, Percy Jackson’s journey continues as Disney+ unveils a fresh sneak peek into the start of production for Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. This second season is based on the second book in the series, The Sea of Monsters, offering fans an exciting look at what’s to come. Although the new teaser, unveiled at D23 Expo, primarily rehashes the divine beings and monstrous foes young Percy (Walker Scobell) encountered in Season 1, it offers a tantalizing glimpse into his next major hurdle. For your viewing pleasure, here’s a link to the teaser.

Season 2 of Percy Jackson Will Be “More Mature”

In previous hints, the actors from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series suggested that the second season would adopt a more mature style, similar to the original books.

“It feels older,” both Scobell and Aryan Simhadri said.

“It feels more mature,” Leah Jeffries said. “It’s definitely hyped up some.”

As a gamer, I dive headfirst into the thrilling pages of The Sea of Monsters series, where I join Percy, Annabeth (Jeffries), and Grover (Simhadri) on an exhilarating quest. Together, we brave the treacherous waters of the beast-filled ocean, a mythical replica of our world’s Bermuda Triangle, in search of the legendary Golden Fleece!

About Percy Jackson and the Olympians

The first season of the television show “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is adapted from the initial book in Rick Riordan’s popular series, titled “The Lightning Thief“. In this eight-episode journey, Walker Scobell portrays Percy Jackson, a demigod facing accusations of stealing Zeus’s master bolt. To clear his name and prevent the impending conflict among the gods by the Summer Solstice, Percy embarks on a mission to return the stolen bolt. The series features an ensemble cast including Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood, Leah Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, Glynn Turman as Chiron, Jason Mantzoukas as Dionysus, Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue, Charlie Bushnell as Luke, Adam “Edge” Copeland as Ares, Jay Duplass as Hades, Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes, Timothy Omundson as Hephaestus, Lance Reddick as Zeus, and Toby Stephens as Poseidon.

In the second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, which follows the storyline of the second book “The Sea of Monsters” from Disney Hyperion’s popular series, we find Percy Jackson back at Camp Half-Blood a year later. However, things are not as he left them. His bond with Annabeth is shifting, he discovers he has a cyclops sibling, Grover is missing, and the camp is under attack by Kronos’ forces. This season takes us on Percy’s quest to restore order, which leads him far beyond familiar territories and into the treacherous Sea of Monsters, where the fate of Poseidon’s son is hidden. Filming for Season 2 is scheduled to start in August.

The first season of Percy Jackson and The Olympians is now streaming on Disney+.
