During Disney’s Entertainment Showcase at D23 Expo, not only did we get a sneak peek of TRON: Ares, but we were also treated to the mind-blowing news that Nine Inch Nails will be responsible for the film’s music!
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but rejoice at the news that Trent Reznor, the man behind Nine Inch Nails, is teaming up with Atticus Ross for their first film score collaboration under this iconic band. Their impressive resumé includes scoring hits like “The Social Network,” “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” “Gone Girl,” “Soul,” and “Challengers.” This dynamic duo has even earned two Academy Awards, for their work on “The Social Network” and “Soul.” Now, they’re set to create magic together as Nine Inch Nails for a film.
What is TRON: Ares About?
As per an earlier summary, the story of “TRON: Ares” revolves around a complex digital entity named Ares. This entity is dispatched from the virtual realm into our physical world on a risky assignment. This mission signifies the initial interaction between human kind and artificial intelligence beings.
As I stepped into the digital realm to direct TRON 3, I couldn’t help but feel the weight of the legacy left behind by the pioneering original film. Forty years may have passed, but the innovative design, technology, and storytelling that defined it remain as relevant today as they were then. It’s an honor to carry on this tradition and take the TRON saga to new heights.
In this movie titled TRON: Ares, Jared Leto from Suicide Squad, Greta Lee from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Evan Peters from X-Men: Days of Future Past, Hasan Minhaj from Haunted Mansion, Jodie Turner-Smith from Star Wars: The Acolyte, Arturo Castro from Narcos, Cameron Monaghan from Gotham, and Gillian Anderson from The X-Files are the main stars.
