Sakamoto Days Cliffhanger Teases Sakamoto's New Master

As a seasoned fan of Sakamoto Days, I must say that this latest development has me absolutely buzzing! The return of Kindaka and his potential role as Sakamoto’s master is a twist that I never saw coming.

In the latest development for Sakamoto Days, Taro Sakamoto and the gang are gearing up to confront the JAA. The latest installment hints at a master, who could potentially guide them all! Previously, we saw that Sakamoto and his companions were marked as significant targets by the JAA and had to remain vigilant. However, reflecting on how much his life has progressed since abandoning assassination, Sakamoto unexpectedly decides he wants to overtake the JAA, with a vision of expanding the Sakamoto store chain nationwide.

The recent chapters of “Sakamoto Days” have delved into Kei Uzuki’s past, particularly his relationship with Rion Akao, but the narrative has since returned to the present as Sakamoto prepares for upcoming fights against the JAA. However, he recognizes his weaknesses in certain areas and struggles as a teacher due to lacking a master himself. Consequently, Sakamoto has been on the hunt for a mentor. Enter Kindaka, who’s just emerged from an eight-year coma.

Who Is Sakamoto’s New Master?

In Chapter 177 of “Sakamoto Days”, the narrative continues following Kindaka’s awakening from a coma that lasted eight long years in the hospital. Strapped for cash, he chooses to tackle the JAA’s primary target, someone he fails to recognize as Sakamoto due to his drastic change since their youth. Shortly after, Kindaka confronts Sakamoto (accompanied by Shin and Heisuke Mashimo) and swiftly disables all three of them with his incredible speed, which outpaces their ability to follow visually, even though he’s not as fast as he used to be in his prime.

Following a brief skirmish, Sakamoto manages to persuade Kindaka that he is indeed the same individual from eight years past. As their chapter concludes, Sakamoto expresses his satisfaction at finding an ideal mentor. It remains uncertain whether Kindaka will agree, but if the compensation is sufficient, it seems probable that he’ll join the team for the impending battle against the JAA members in future chapters. This means Sakamoto must exert himself in training to prepare.
