Son and Bone is Out “Very, Very Soon”, New Gameplay Features More Dinosaur Slaying and Aliens

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, hailing from the era where dinosaurs ruled the gaming world and aliens were the stuff of nightmares, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia at the sight of the trailer for Son and Bone. The blend of Serious Sam’s mayhem with Turok’s prehistoric ferocity has my heart pounding like a drum.

Have you been looking forward to the next title from Quantum Error developer, TeamKill Media? Not the sequel Quantum State, but Son and Bone, a tribute to classic shooter games. A fresh gameplay trailer has been released, hinting at an imminent launch. Take a look at the chaos below, it’s coming “extremely soon”, they assure us.

The trailer introduces several fresh dinosaur species and weapons, and hints at the presence of aliens. It’s unclear if these extraterrestrial beings are allies or enemies to Sheriff Sam Judge, as one is executed by him, while another scene shows him summoning the mothership’s laser to destroy dinosaurs. The blend of alien creatures and intense action seems reminiscent of a mix between “Serious Sam” and “Turok”.

The game also introduces some novel aspects such as eliminating the need to reload like in games such as Doom and Quake, and featuring weapons from various time periods. A power-up that temporarily allows one-hit kills of enemies with punches, similar to Berserk, is included, along with a grappling hook that seems as smooth to use as anticipated.

Title “Son and Bone” is set to arrive on PlayStation 5 this year. It’s possible that we might get a release date announcement during Gamescom, taking place from August 21st to the 25th. We’ll have to wait and see for further updates, so keep an eye out for additional information.
