As a long-time comic book enthusiast and dedicated Fortnite player, I must say that the upcoming season, Absolute Doom, has me positively giddy with excitement! The return of Doctor Doom and the introduction of fan-favorite Gwenpool are two events that have been long overdue.
In the upcoming season of Fortnite, titled Absolute Doom, Epic Games is teaming up with the Marvel universe for a second time.
Most notably, fan favourite Gwenpool will be making their debut for the first time.
In a fresh movie trailer, it’s officially announced that the newest Marvel superhero will join the fray. This trailer also hints at the comeback of Victor von Doom, better known as Doctor Doom, to engage in another epic confrontation.
In this instance, Jonesy is disguised as Captain America, accompanied by characters such as War Machine, Shuri, Emma Frost, Mysterio, and a combination of Wolverine and Peely.

Who is Gwenpool?
Gwenpool is a recently introduced Marvel character who combines traits from two well-known figures, Gwen Stacy and Deadpool (Wade Wilson).
Originating from the creative minds of Christopher Hastings, Heather Antos, and Jordan D White, the character known as Gwenpool made her debut in Deadpool’s Secret Secret Wars issue #2, which hit the stands in June 2015. This unique individual hails from Earth-TRN565.
Enthusiastically immersed in the world of superheroes, Gwenpool openly admits she’s a fictional character born from comic books. Known for her skills in hand-to-hand combat, manipulating reality, rigorous weapons training, breaking the fourth wall, and traveling between dimensions.
Gwenpool and Deadpool are not related in any way. MODOK serves as the character’s main villain.
Gwenpool Fortnite release date
The upcoming season 4 of Fortnite’s Chapter 5 is due to start on the 16th of August, 2024. At the initial rollout, the character Gwenpool will be accessible within the game.

The excitement reaches a peak when Mysterio appears at level 80, and finally, I’ll be graced with Shuri by my side at level 100.”
Doctor Doom will then be up for grabs via battle pass quests sometime in September.
