As a seasoned gamer with a heart for intricate and immersive tabletop games, the Kickstarter campaign for “Winds of Numa Sera: The Board Game” has truly caught my attention. Having dived deep into countless graphic novels, I’m thrilled to see one of my recent favorites being transformed into a board game experience.
A tabletop game based on the Dark Horse graphic novel Winds of Numa Sera has entered its final week, with just a few more stretch goals to achieve. Launched in July, the tabletop game version of Winds of Numa Sera: The Board Game has raised over $130,000, more than thirteen times its initial stretch goal. As the Kickstarter enters its final week, ComicBook can exclusively reveal a full look at some of the already unlocked stretch goals for the new Kickstarter along with a new stretch goal that will be unlocked if the campaign exceeds $140,000.
In the game titled “Winds of Numa Sera,” players take on different roles and manage asymmetrical factions, aiming to expand their kingdom within a set timeframe. There are various ways to win, with each faction specializing in one main victory condition. However, if circumstances favor them, they can also secure any other victory.
Back in October 2022, the graphic novel titled “Winds of Numa Sera” made its debut. This captivating work was penned by the dynamic duo, Morgan Rosenblum and Jonny Handler, while Eduard Petrovich, Eduardo Mello, and Valentina Taddeo brought it to life with their striking illustrations.
The majority of our stretch goals (listed below) introduce items that players can carry throughout the game. Many of these are mythical artifacts, which boost a player’s character significantly when utilized. Reaching $140,000 on Kickstarter will grant us the first Grand Gauntlet Victor’s Helmet, a new mythical item whose power increases with each hero you defeat during gameplay.
