Starfield Leak Reveals First Look at Vehicle Gameplay

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt and countless hours lost in various galaxies, I can barely contain my excitement for the upcoming expansion of Starfield, Shattered Space. The prospect of exploring derelict space stations teeming with mystery and potentially spider-like aliens is enough to make any spacefarer’s heart race. But what has truly piqued my interest is the long-awaited addition of land vehicles!

The initial expansion for the game “Starfield” is scheduled for release later this year. Although developer Bethesda hasn’t confirmed an exact date for the “Shattered Space” DLC, they have provided some information about its content. Players can anticipate embarking on a more bizarre adventure than the original storyline, with abandoned space stations containing decomposed bodies and strange spider-like creatures. In addition, the development team for “Starfield” has revealed that the “Shattered Space” DLC will allow players to use a land vehicle for faster travel across the game’s planets. Bethesda unveiled images of these vehicles back in May, but recent leaks suggest one of them is already in action.

The initial reveal of the leak occurred on 4Chan, later spreading to Twitter by Rebs Gaming, a notable Xbox leaker within the gaming community. A brief 28-second video was circulated, depicting player characters driving a buggy-like vehicle over sandy hills in first-person perspective. Additionally, an image from the leak showcased the entire vehicle. Given the context, it appears to be a rugged off-road buggy ideal for traversing an alien planet, though it should be noted that this information needs to be treated with caution until Bethesda makes an official announcement. However, the details align somewhat with the team’s previous statements, so it could potentially be a sneak peek of what’s to come.

It’s highly probable that we’ll receive our first official glimpse of moving land vehicles not long from now, considering Xbox’s significant presence at Gamescom towards the end of this month. This event could potentially provide more information about both Starfield: Shattered Stars and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, as Bethesda has planned presentations for these games. Since neither game currently has a confirmed release date, it seems plausible that Xbox and Bethesda might announce the launch dates during this show. If they don’t reveal the release date at Gamescom, they’ll likely need to do so shortly because the year is nearing its end.

Fortunately, there’s still a lot to explore in Starfield even as we wait for more significant updates. Over the past few months, Bethesda has been consistently releasing smaller updates, making it a great way to pass the time without being as engaging as Shattered Space. Currently, you can play Starfield on Xbox Series X/S and PC. Don’t forget that if you have an Xbox Game Pass subscription, you can download this first-party game at no additional cost!
