Cult of the Lamb Local Co-op Update is Live, Adds New Follower Traits, Relics, and More

As a seasoned gamer with over three decades of gaming under my belt, I must say, Massive Monster has truly outdone themselves with this latest update for Cult of the Lamb! The addition of local two-player co-op mode has taken the game to new heights, allowing me and a friend to join forces as the Lamb and the Goat.

In the latest free content update for “Cult of the Lamb,” Massive Monster has introduced a local two-player cooperative mode. One player takes on the role of the Lamb, whereas the other can be the Goat. Collaboratively, they can battle enemies, oversee their settlements, and even go fishing! Interestingly, you can also play as the Goat independently.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that the latest trailer unveils more than just a sneak peek. There are 21 fresh Follower characteristics on offer, such as the Poet who composes verses upon every vanquished foe and the Cursed who rises from the dead. Furthermore, the Jerk character becomes less grating and can be tamed through either displays of affection or harsh treatment.

Additional aspects include a Nurturing Area, a construction for playing Knucklebone games against companions, and fresh Woolens (including a Cowboy Woolen for initiating runs armed with the Blunderbuss). Additionally, there are newly introduced Artifacts with Blessed and Cursed versions, as well as relics exclusive to cooperative gameplay.

The game titled “Cult of the Lamb” can be played on platforms such as Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. As of January 2024, it has been sold over 3.5 million times.
