In the spirit of the acclaimed film series (up until “Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade”), the story of “The Great Circle” unfolds in 1937. Our hero, the archaeologist-adventurer Indiana Jones, finds himself entangled in the enigmatic mystery that carries him to various parts of the world, including Egypt, Thailand, and the Himalayas. A significant confrontation set in the Himalayas was recently teased during the Xbox Games Showcase in June.
Although the game includes some scenes viewed from a third person’s perspective, it is essentially played in the first person. Players can sneak about, employ Indiana Jones’ famous whip, and tackle puzzles (some of which are optional). Despite its cinematic style, the game offers a less scripted experience that focuses on player decision-making.
