LoL T1 skins through the years

As a hardcore League of Legends fan and someone who has been following the T1 team since their inception, I can confidently say that the T1 skins are truly iconic and a testament to their unparalleled success in the world of eSports. Each skin line perfectly captures the essence of the team’s spirit at that particular time, from the tech-streetwear aesthetic of 2013 to the regal imagery of 2016.

Here it comes! Starting with Patch 14.16, the 2024 LoL T1 skins are now available, expanding the roster of SKT T1 skins that were previously earned in past World Championship seasons.

Winners of the League of Legends World Championship are given skins as a memento of their triumph. They pick a character (champion) from one of the games they played during that specific World Championship. In collaboration with the Riot Games development team, these players then design a unique look for their chosen champion.

Each player also receive a percentage of the sales for their skin.

SKT T1 stands as the most triumphant team in League of Legends’ history, being the sole organization to claim over one world championship title. Remarkably, by 2024, they had secured victory at Worlds an impressive four times.

As a result, they have built a significant library of associated skins.

LoL T1 Skins 2013

In 2013, SKT T1, winners of the second real-world championship (which is now recognized as the third World Championship), became the first team to receive exclusive champion skins. Skins that honored previous winning teams were later added retroactively.

As a self-proclaimed tech enthusiast and avid gamer, I find myself drawn to clothing lines that embody the spirit of these passions. Growing up, I was always the kid tinkering with electronics and spending hours playing video games. So it’s no surprise that I gravitate towards fashion brands that reflect my interests and experiences. The tech streetwear line in question perfectly encapsulates the gaming culture that has been a significant part of my life. Its design ethos resonates with me on a deeply personal level, making it an obvious choice for my wardrobe.

This line-up of skins featured:

  • SKT T1 Jax for top laner Impact
  • SKT T1 Lee Sin for jungler Bengi
  • SKT T1 Zed for mid laner Faker
  • SKT T1 Vayne for bottom laner Piglet
  • SKT T1 Zyra for support PoohManDu

SKT 2015 World Championship skins

In 2014, SKT didn’t participate at all in the Worlds tournament. However, they returned the following year with most of their team changed. Despite this overhaul, they had an impressive run, dominating Worlds. This triumph made them the first (and currently only) team to win the World Championship more than once.

For the very first time, I’m thrilled to see that the League of Legends Worlds team skins feature more than five champions. This acknowledges the valuable contributions made by the backup players who stepped up and shone on the main stage.

As a fashion enthusiast who grew up in the ’90s and has always been captivated by streetwear culture, I must admit that I appreciate the continuation of the tech aesthetic. However, when it comes to this new line-up, I find myself slightly disappointed. The switch from red to blue is intriguing, but it doesn’t quite pop against the 2013 collection as I expected it to. This change in color scheme has resulted in a somewhat weaker skin line, missing the signature T1 colors that I have come to associate with my favorite designs. In fact, this line-up seems to lack the vibrant energy and unique identity that made the previous collections so memorable. As much as I want to embrace the new, it’s hard not to miss the old.

The line-up is:

  • SKT T1 Renekton for top laner Marin
  • SKT T1 Elise for jungler Bengi
  • SKT T1 Ryze for mid laner Faker
  • SKT T1 Azir for mid laner Easyhoon
  • SKT T1 Kalista for bottom laner Bang
  • SKT T1 Alistar for support Wolf

2016 SKT T1 Worlds

Following a strong championship run in 2015, SKT T1 claimed consecutive titles in 2016. The team underwent changes with Easyhoon and Marin leaving the top lane and jungle positions respectively, to be replaced by Duke and Blank.

As a longtime League of Legends player, I have seen many team skins throughout the years, but none have quite captured my heart like the SKT T1 skin line. With its striking combination of red and gold, this skin evokes a sense of royalty and power that resonates deeply with me. Having followed SKT T1 since their inception, I can’t help but feel a strong connection to the team’s history and legacy. From their numerous championship wins to their iconic roster of players, SKT T1 has left an indelible mark on the League of Legends community. And with this skin line, they have solidified their status as one of the most iconic teams in the game. Every time I see it on Summoner’s Rift, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia and pride. The SKT T1 skin line is more than just a cosmetic item to me; it’s a symbol of excellence and tradition that will always hold a special place in my heart.

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that this latest triumph has made Faker and Bengi the exceptional duo who now own three World Championship skins, an achievement unmatched by any other players! Moreover, this victory serves as a special tribute to our esteemed coach kk0ma, commemorating him with a distinct ward skin – a unique token of appreciation for his invaluable contributions.

  • SKT T1 Ekko for top laner Duke
  • SKT T1 Zac for jungler Blank
  • SKT T1 Olaf for jungler Bengi
  • SKT T1 Syndra for mid laner Faker
  • SKT T1 Jhin for bottom laner Bang
  • SKT T1 Nami for bottom laner Wolf

LoL T1 Skins for 2024 Worlds

Following a six-year hiatus spanning from 2017 to 2023, Team T1 triumphantly claimed victory at the World Championship in 2024.

Following the collaboration on the business venture which transformed SKT T1 into just T1, this triumph occurs. This move aims to eliminate potential confusion between the two separate T1 skins belonging to Lee Sin.

Faker, the mid laner, becomes the sole global player to secure four World Championship titles. Simultaneously, his teammates achieve their first wins, matching the longevity of T1’s roster from 2015 to 2017, making them among the longest-serving members in the team’s history.

After the launch of a special Prestige skin variant for the MVP winner of the Worlds Finals, this marks the initial T1 Worlds championship victory as well.

  • T1 Jayce for top laner Zeus
  • T1 Lee Sin for jungler Oner
  • T1 Orianna for mid laner Faker
  • T1 Jinx for bottom laner Gumayusi
  • T1 Bard for support Keria
  • Prestige T1 Jayce for finals MVP Zeus
