As a seasoned movie reviewer with over three decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the announcement of The Gentlemen‘s second season has me more than a little excited! Having had the pleasure of witnessing Guy Ritchie’s masterful storytelling unfold in cinemas across the pond, I can confidently attest to the sheer brilliance of this series.
Following the tremendous success of Guy Ritchie’s series The Gentlemen earlier this year, there was an inevitable anticipation that its renewal would be announced eventually.
At last, it’s been confirmed! Netflix is bringing back our favorite show for a new season consisting of eight episodes, filled with crime and grand estates, starting production in the year 2025.
On its newly branded Twitter account (now known as X), the streamer officially announced the news, additionally disclosing that actors Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, and Daniel Ings are set to reprise their key roles in the upcoming series.
As a devoted fan, I’m eagerly awaiting the upcoming announcements about who else will join the cast. It goes without saying that I hope to see familiar faces like Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Giancarlo Esposito, Ray Winstone, and Michael Vu reprising their roles as well.

The initial season concluded with a suspenseful twist as James’s character, Eddie Horniman, found himself fully committed to the Glass criminal organization.
As Stanley Johnston, played by Esposito, wound up behind bars, it appeared that he and Bobby Glass, portrayed by Winstone, were building a professional alliance.
Previously this year, James highlighted the challenges involved in organizing a second season, expressing it as “an intricate negotiation process that would involve everyone, including Guy.”
He added: “But also, I think with a show like this, if you’re going to do more, you need to come up with a really interesting concept for season 2. Because as much as we enjoyed it and as fun as it was, it needs a narrative drive.”
As a dedicated fan of gripping TV dramas, I’ve always been drawn to shows that delve deep into complex narratives and intricate storylines. And when it comes to truly outstanding series like The Wire, there’s something about its gritty realism and compelling characters that just hooks me every time.
