A “Big” Xbox Game (Possibly Forza Horizon 5) Will be Announced for PlayStation Next Week – Rumour

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt and countless miles traveled across virtual worlds, I can hardly contain my excitement! Rumors abound about another major first-party Xbox title set to be announced next week, and if the tea leaves are correctly read, it seems like we might just be getting another taste of Mexico in Forza Horizon 5.

As a dedicated gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen many shifts and transformations in the gaming industry. One of the most intriguing developments this year was Microsoft’s decision to release their first-party Xbox titles on rival platforms like PlayStation and Switch. Having played games from both companies throughout my life, I can confidently say that it was a bold yet strategic move for Microsoft. Titles like Grounded, Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, and Sea of Thieves found new audiences, broadening their reach and impact.

Industry insider shinobi602 recently took to the ResetEra forums and claimed that another major first-party Xbox title is going to be announced next week across multiple messages (1, 2, 3), but didn’t go into further detail on what that game will be. Shortly afterward, prominent Xbox leaker eXtas1s took to Twitter and responded to the rumour with a gif sayin “feliz Cinco de Mayo”, potentially hinting that the game in question set to be announced for PlayStation is Forza Horizon 5, which, of course, is set in Mexico.

Next week marks the start of Gamescom, and Microsoft has announced a significant presence at the event. The Gamescom Opening Night Live will commence on August 20, which could be the stage for any upcoming announcements.

It’s been suggested that Microsoft plans to make many of its popular games available on competing platforms, possibly including titles like Indiana Jones: The Great Circle, Starfield, Gears of War, Halo, and several others, which are rumored to be under consideration for cross-platform distribution.
