As a longtime admirer of British television, I must say that I am thoroughly intrigued by the upcoming BBC Three series, “Daddy Issues.” The cast is nothing short of impressive, with familiar faces from beloved shows like Miranda, Horrible Histories, and Happy Valley gracing our screens once more.
In the humorous series Daddy Issues on BBC, 24-year-old Gemma seeks casual, uncomplicated amusement by agreeing to a spontaneous encounter in an airplane restroom. However, things take an unexpected turn when she learns a few months later that she’s pregnant from this chance meeting.
Moreover, she’s also dealing with an unforeseen situation where her roommate vacates the apartment, forcing her to shoulder all the rental costs, a burden she clearly can’t handle financially.
Moving forward, let’s consider a different phrasing: Malcolm, Gemma’s recently separated father, unexpectedly resides with her, despite their recent estrangement. Initially, his presence stirs up turmoil, but surprisingly, their new living situation turns out to be beneficial for their relationship over time.
In this production, Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey take the spotlight, joined by several well-known actors as well as some fresh, unfamiliar faces.
