Will there be a Kengan Ashura season 3?
In Japan, Season 2 Part 2 was aired as early as September 2023, but it’s set to debut on Netflix on August 15th.
Instead of having a third season, there’s a new manga being developed as a continuation, and it’s expected to be turned into an anime.
What is Kengan Ashura?
It’s an anime adaption based on the manga by Yabako Sandrovich and illustrated by Daromeon.
The manga started being published on the Ura Sunday website from April 2012 to August 2018. It spans over 27 volumes, along with its sequel Kengan Omega which debuted in January 2019 and comprises of 22 compiled volumes so far. Both series are licensed by Comikey.
As a lifelong fan of martial arts and combat sports, I find the anime “Kengan Ashura” to be an absolute must-watch for anyone who shares my passion. The series is a masterful blend of traditional Japanese martial arts, modern fighting techniques, and intricate storytelling that keeps me on the edge of my seat week after week. What sets it apart from other combat-focused anime is its unique premise – Kengan matches are essentially a cross between gladiatorial games and Fight Club, where elite fighters battle it out in high-stakes, no-holds-barred contests. The series follows the plot of the original manga meticulously, but manages to bring each fight to life with stunning visuals and immersive sound design that make every punch, kick, and block feel like a real-life event. If you’re looking for an anime that delivers nonstop action, captivating storytelling, and a deep dive into the world of martial arts, then “Kengan Ashura” is the perfect choice for you.
The games are overseen by the CEOs of large, multifaceted Japanese corporations that significantly contribute to the core of Japan’s corporate landscape.
As a devoted anime enthusiast, I’d say my favorite series chronicles the journey of Tokita Ohma, famously known as Ashura – a title inspired by the fearsome demon of Hindu and Buddhist lore. One pivotal moment in this tale unfolds when I witness the CEO of Nogi Group catching sight of me in a street brawl. To my surprise, I emerge victorious over their reigning champion, capturing the attention of the corporate titan.
The story follows Ashura as he rises through the ranks of the matches, using his special attack to devastate his opponents. Season 2 part 2 focuses on the ultra-violent finale of these games.
