Marvel has officially unveiled “Hellverine,” an ongoing series penned by Benjamin Percy, co-creator and writer of the title, along with artist Raffaele Ienco known for his work on “Star Wars: Darth Vader.” In this narrative, the Demon Bagra-ghul, who was once inside Wolverine, teams up with Daken to traverse both the Marvel Universe’s superhero milieu and its demonic underworld.
Regarding the thriving character of Hellverine, Percy expressed, “I was penning Wolverine and Ghost Rider. Naturally, I wanted to merge them. The ‘Weapons of Vengeance’ storyline turned out to be a massive hit due in part to Geoff Shaw and me unveiling the Hellverine – a unique portrayal of Logan with a flaming skull and claws ablaze. Fan excitement was palpable, leading to an announcement of a Marvel Legends toy and greenlighting a spin-off limited series. Crafting the mythology of the demon Bagra-ghul and resurrecting Akihiro from his brutal demise in Sabretooth War was an exhilarating experience.
