Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies Video Details Augments, Gobblegums, and More

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that I am utterly thrilled about Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 6! The new features they’ve been unveiling have me on the edge of my seat, and the latest updates on Zombies are no exception.

On August 28th during Call of Duty Next, Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to unveil several new updates. Until then, Treyarch has been sharing fresh details about the Zombies mode, including information on upcoming features like Augments and the return of Gobblegums.

In the latest version of the game, novelties called Augments have been introduced. These allow players to harness three significant and three minor abilities. A major Augment involves having three electric orbs revolving around the player, acting as a protective shield. On the other hand, a minor Augment might trigger an effect similar to Napalm Burst, causing slightly increased damage. Moreover, fresh Perks like Melee Machiatto have been added, which empowers the player with a powerful punch in melee combat. The main Augment of Melee Machiatto enhances the speed of all melee attacks.

Armor upgrades in the Arsenal have been replaced with ammo mods, which also upgrade the weapon’s rarity. As for Gobblegums, which make a return, you can set up to five and put them into a pack before a match. Find a gumball machine in-game, and upon interacting with it, you’ll receive one of those Gobblegums.

In simpler terms, you have the flexibility to turn on your Gobblegum whenever you prefer, even multiple at once. These special features offer instant access to all perks simultaneously, allowing you to fire weapons without using ammunition, among other benefits. Additionally, you can save a specific Zombies weapon setup before starting a match, which includes the weapon’s accessories and blueprints. By purchasing from the wall or Mystery Box, you’ll be able to access this saved setup.

On October 25th, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” is set to debut across various platforms including the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. A sneak peek at the new campaign gameplay will be unveiled during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live on August 20th.
