Excitedly, I can’t help but share my enthusiasm for the growing Legendary Monsterverse! With the upcoming release of “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” movie, it’s clear that we fans have a lot to look forward to. What truly gets me pumped is the news about new video game adaptations based on these colossal titans! According to recent announcements, three Monsterverse games are in development. One focuses solely on Kong, another brings together Kong and Godzilla, and the third offers a unique experience by incorporating the Monsterverse into the popular Roblox platform, much like other renowned franchises have done.
The game featuring both Kong and Godzilla, titled “Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers,” is exclusive to mobile devices and boasts an array of monsters beyond just these two titans. This game has been developed by Hunted Cow Games, a studio known for projects such as Warhammer Chaos & Conquest. Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers is a strategic 4X game that requires players to build bases and engage in turn-based combat against various monsters. Some of the creatures you’ll encounter include Skullcrawlers, Mother Longlegs, Coralmouth, Psychovulture, Sporefly Queen, and Volt Panther, among others. Although a trailer for Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers was previously released, it was recently re-announced by Legendary as part of their latest announcement.
One more game to mention is “Kong: Survivor Instinct” where the spotlight is on Kong. Developed by 7Levels, this 2.5D game will arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC systems. In this game, you’ll assume the role of a father scouring a city under a mysterious threat in search of his missing daughter. A sneak peek for this game was unveiled recently along with its announcement. Although an exact release date hasn’t been set, it’s expected to drop “later this year.”
