Attack on Titan Announces New Movie

As a longtime fan of Attack on Titan who has followed the series since its early days, I must say I was initially taken aback by the news that the Scout Regiment would be returning for a feature-length film. However, upon further reflection and considering my extensive knowledge of anime adaptations, I’ve come to embrace this development with open arms.

The epic anime series and manga of Attack on Titan have concluded, leaving fans stunned by the unexpected turn of events in this brutal franchise. However, the Scout Regiment is poised for a comeback with a full-length feature film set to premiere in cinemas. The title of the movie is Attack on Titan: The Last Attack, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release date. Despite the conclusion of the Survey Corps’ story, it seems that Eren Jaeger, Mikasa, Armin, and their comrades from Paradis Island still have some surprises up their sleeves.

The film titled “Attack on Titan: The Final Battle” is set to hit Japanese cinemas on November 8th of this year. Fans expecting fresh content or a follow-up to Hajime Isayama’s intense series might be let down, as the movie is labeled as a “recap”. The film’s duration has been confirmed to be approximately 145 minutes, equating to around two hours and twenty-five minutes in total. Given that it’s based on the final episodes of the fourth season of the animated adaptation, this movie will delve into significant ground in Eren Jaeger’s fight.

Attack on Titan: The Last Attack Trailer

As a passionate gamer and fan of this series, I’m eagerly anticipating the upcoming fall release, even though it won’t feature fresh gameplay footage or continue the storyline from the original ending. However, the studio has confirmed that the content from the TV series will be revamped for the movie. Regrettably, there’s been no news about “The Last Attack” making its way to North America yet, but given the surge in anime popularity here, I’m optimistic that we’ll get a chance to watch it in the U.S. soon.

Yuichiro Hayashi, the director of the series, mentioned that he initially designed the final episodes as a full-length film, implying that “Attack on Titan: The Last Attack” will be an ideal way to conclude the Scout Regiment’s journey. He expressed that planning these storyboards with the intention they would be viewed as a single movie has been a long-held dream for him, and having the chance to share it in the best viewing environment, which is the theater, is truly fulfilling for him.
