TNA's Josh Alexander Addresses "Sports Entertainer" Nic Nemeth and if Feud is Personal

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of wrestling fandom under my belt, I can confidently say that TNA Emergence is shaping up to be the event of the year! The looming Iron Man match between Josh Alexander and Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship has me on the edge of my seat.

As a long-time fan of TNA Impact, I must say that this week’s show was nothing short of exhilarating! Josh Alexander and Nic Nemeth truly delivered a rollercoaster ride for us fans, even though the time limit prevented us from having a clear winner. But fear not, the much-anticipated showdown between these two stars will be settled at Emergence, in an Iron Man match that’s sure to last an hour.

He’s Just In My Way

In response to being questioned about his conflict with Nemeth, Alexander replied, “Not at all, it’s him who holds the Championship. His victory over me at Slammiversary, which was a highly unpredictable match with six competitors, left an element of personal sentiment since he eliminated me. However, following the contest, he claimed he would elevate that Title and take our company to greater heights.”

In that instant as I headed towards the back, it seemed clear to me that title was mine. Whether it’s a championship or not, I embody the essence of this company; I set the standard for TNA. He may be new and unaware, so I guess I’ll need to make it clear to him. I’ll have to show him my true identity. In the ring, I’m a unique force. This is how Alexander put it.

For approximately two decades, he has been a professional wrestler, with 19 of those years spent within the WWE system. His role was not just as a wrestler, but also as a sports entertainer for an extended period. Over the past 19 years, he has traversed the globe, building a reputation that echoes in various independent circuits and TNA. He expresses a unique perspective, stating, “I’m a different breed.” Growing up, he was inspired by wrestlers such as Bryan Danielson, AJ Styles, and Alex Shelley, individuals who took great pride in their craft and showcased versatility by learning various styles and wrestling diverse opponents to challenge themselves. In contrast, Nic Nemeth has yet to embark on this journey extensively, but that is about to change. On the upcoming Thursday night, he aims to seize the World Championship from Nemeth.

Nemeth Answers the Challenge

The game concluded in a tie, despite both key players expressing a desire for additional time. However, it didn’t transpire as planned. Instead, Alexander suggested a one-hour rematch, which Nemeth readily agreed to, communicating his agreement in a backstage interview. “TNA, let me make this clear: Everything I’ve stated up until now, I’ve meant every bit of it. I said I wanted to represent this company, and I am just getting started. I said I wanted to be the World Champion for this Company. Mission accomplished. I said I want to serve as the ambassador for professional wrestling within TNA. We’re moving forward,” Nemeth declared.

“Josh Alexander, I’ve always held you in high regard. When I tell you I believed you were among the finest wrestlers globally right now, I speak sincerely. If you’re up for an hour-long match, or even all night if you think you can keep up, I doubt it’s within your capabilities. The old Josh Alexander could do it; he could last an hour standing on his head and still come back for more. But let me tell you, you’re dealing with a seasoned professional here. This title means everything to me, representing the culmination of two decades of hard work and determination. I feel that this time, it’s your turn to experience a good thrashing at my hands. If you think you’re ready for an hour-long bout, then bring it on – but only if you have the guts,” Nemeth asserted.
