Crimson Desert – White Horn Boss and Combat Showcased in New Gameplay

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the new gameplay footage for Crimson Desert has me absolutely thrilled! The White Mountains expedition, the intense boss fight against White Horn, and the hint of more battles yet to be unveiled at Gamescom – it’s a tantalizing taste of what’s to come.

Pearl Abyss recently unveiled fresh gameplay clips of their upcoming title, Crimson Desert. This is the first sneak peek since last year’s captivating trailer. In this new footage, the protagonist, Kliff, journeys to the White Mountains in a quest to find some lost children. Along the way, he comes across a group of bandits who seem to be connected to their disappearance. Take a look at the clip below.

Following a brutal confrontation involving fists and a sword, Kliff takes on the spirit known as White Horn. This battle is a lengthy one, divided into three distinct stages. White Horn can launch powerful charges, wield its antlers as a weapon, and even summon a blizzard to evade attacks. The player appears to have a gauge for special moves, such as forceful swipes that produce sparks.

In the playable demo presented at Gamescom, there’s one out of four boss battles that players can encounter. As for the remaining battles, it’s yet unknown if they will be disclosed; however, Pearl Abyss guarantees that what you see is genuine in-game footage and gameplay.

The vibrant world of “Crimson Desert” is set to arrive on consoles and PC, though the exact release date remains undisclosed (with rumors suggesting it may drop within the 2025 fiscal year). Keep an eye out for further updates as Gamescom gets underway from August 21st to 25th.
