At the time of its release on PlayStation 5 in 2023, Final Fantasy XVI garnered widespread acclaim from both critics and enthusiasts due to its gripping narrative with a dark theme, intricate character development, thrilling battle system, captivating soundtrack, and heart-racing boss encounters.

Unfortunately, I missed playing Final Fantasy XVI when it initially released because I don’t own a PlayStation 5. However, with its upcoming PC release, I will finally have an opportunity to play this game and determine if it has the potential to rank among the best PC games in the Final Fantasy series.

Given that the PC version of Final Fantasy XVI is now fully developed and set for release, a logical question arises: Is an Xbox edition of Final Fantasy XVI forthcoming? It’s quite likely considering Square Enix has pledged to launch more games on Xbox, and Naoki Yoshida (also known as Yoshi-P), the game’s producer, has suggested that a port to other platforms might be in the works following the completion of the PC version.

As a game analyst, I can’t predict with absolute certainty, but at this moment, we’re keeping our fingers crossed that Final Fantasy XVI may potentially make its way onto Xbox platforms down the line. Only time will tell.
