Without a doubt, I can’t help but admire Okazaki’s dedication to this Star Wars tribute. It’s not often we see such a renowned IP delve into the anime world, yet Okazaki seamlessly transitioned into this new realm. Known primarily for his work on Afro Samurai, Okazaki also contributed to season one of Star Wars: Visions, serving as the artistic director for “The Duel,” an episode that truly stood out in the anthology series. Given his past achievements, it’s no surprise that he was a perfect match for this Star Wars Outlaws promotional project.

Lately, Okazaki has been occupied with an original Intellectual Property creation, and it’s “Ninja Kamui” that we owe thanks for. The artist was assigned the role of designing characters for this successful Warner Bros. Discovery anime. Currently streaming on Max, “Ninja Kamui” was brought to life by E&H Production and Sola Entertainment under the direction of Sunghoo Park. This anime has been a hit on Max, with internet users already demanding a second season. So here’s hoping that Okazaki can return to work on “Ninja Kamui” soon.

Regarding the 1998 historical drama “Afro Samurai,” it remains a timeless favorite among fans. The manga not only dominated the online world during the 2000s but also was transformed into an award-winning anime by Studio Gonzo. For those interested in experiencing Okazaki’s work directly, Titan Comics manages the English release of “Afro Samurai.” To learn more about this series, you can read its official synopsis found below:
