Funko Fusion Reveals Mega Man Playable Character, Steam Demo Released

As a long-time enthusiast of both Funko Pop figures and Mega Man video games, I can hardly contain my excitement! The fusion of these two worlds is like a dream come true for me. Growing up with Mega Man and collecting Funko Pops have been two significant parts of my life, and now they’re merging in the most delightful way possible.

Most licenses in the game Funko Fusion are linked to Universal films, such as ‘Nope’, ‘Jurassic Park’, and ‘The Thing’. But don’t be fooled, this game won’t only include characters from movies. It will also feature playable characters from other sources, including video games! As previously hinted, Five Nights at Freddy’s is set to make an appearance in the game, and now we know that Mega Man will join the fray too! Today, a new trailer unveiled Mega Man as part of the game, providing us with a sneak peek of his in-game skills. Alongside Mega Man, his loyal companion Rush is also set to appear in Funko Fusion. Furthermore, it looks like his Fire Storm and Magnet Missile appearances will be included too!

A trailer featuring Mega Man in Funko Fusion can be found below.

In the initial release of the game, Mega Man will make an appearance and can be accessed across all supported platforms. As of now, only the Funko Fusion’s Team Fortress 2 DLC has been confirmed as exclusive for Steam. Following today’s announcement, many fans have expressed their hope for more Mega Man designs, including variations inspired by spin-offs like Mega Man X and Mega Man Battle Network. Interestingly, it seems the official Funko Fusion Twitter account acknowledged this request, so we’ll have to wait and see if any new designs become a reality! This might not be the long-awaited new Mega Man game that fans worldwide are eagerly anticipating, but it could introduce the character to those who haven’t experienced previous series installments.

Alongside the revelation of Mega Man’s involvement, 10:10 Games unveiled a playable demo for the game “Funko Fusion.” This demo is currently accessible on Steam. The unique aspect of this demo is that players can choose to control Mega Man as their character, providing an exciting sneak peek into his performance. However, it remains uncertain if this demo will be available on other platforms associated with “Funko Fusion.” Nonetheless, enthusiasts eager to test the demo on Steam can easily find it here.

The Funko Fusion game is set to launch on September 13th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms. The PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions of the game will follow suit, being released on November 15th.
