As a seasoned gamer with memories of countless hours spent in various virtual worlds, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming Gamescom Opening Night Live event! The lineup this year is simply mouthwatering, featuring some heavyweights like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Little Nightmares 3, Marvel Rivals, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred. And to top it all off, ARC Raiders has confirmed its appearance!
It seems that the schedule for Gamescom Opening Night Live is becoming increasingly filled with excitement, as Embark Studios, known for their work on THE FINALS, has confirmed the inclusion of ARC Raiders. Initially announced in 2021 for platforms like Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, this game has experienced several postponements. Last year, it transitioned from a cooperative PvE style to a PvEvP extraction shooter format.
Sign-ups for the closed alpha testing phase on Steam have started, but due to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), details are kept under wraps. It’s possible that the project has been developing something exciting all this time, and maybe we’ll get a release date announcement shortly. Keep an eye out for further updates in the meantime.
Today’s schedule includes the broadcast of Gamescom Opening Night Live, starting at 11 AM Pacific Time on August 20th. Some exciting titles set to be showcased include “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6,” “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle,” “Little Nightmares 3,” “Marvel Rivals,” “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2,” and “Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred.” Additionally, host Geoff Keighley has confirmed that there will be new game announcements during the event as well as a half-hour pre-show.
