As a dedicated follower of Orlando Bloom‘s life, I must say that it’s heartwarming to witness the strong bond he shares with his children, especially his teenage son Flynn. It’s evident from their shared passion for classic cars and their quality time together that they have a special connection.
Orlando Bloom‘s love for his teen is in full bloom.
Johnny Depp, famous for his role in Pirates of the Caribbean, spent a fun day out with his 13-year-old son Flynn, whom he co-parents with ex Miranda Kerr. The pair appreciated the beauty of some vintage automobiles together.
On August 20th, Orlando posted some pictures from the day on Instagram, labeling them as “Hanging out at Monterey Car Week with my buddy.”
In the pics, father and son could be seen with their backs to camera as they took in a classic Porsche, while the 47-year-old also posed with several of the cars.
And fans were delighted by the chance to see how much Flynn has grown.
One fan remarked, “He’s almost your height, Orlando!” Another posted, “It’s so touching to see a father and his son side by side.”
Although both individuals evidently have a strong enthusiasm for cars, they occasionally find themselves at odds regarding certain daring feats that Orlando has performed, particularly those featured in his Peacock show titled “Orlando Bloom: To The Edge“.
In an interview with TopMob News in April, he reminisced about his son joining him at the wingsuit jump location during the series filming. He said his son exclaimed, “Dad, you’re insane! Absolutely not!”
He continued, “He doesn’t have the same clock ticking, which I respect as well because he takes calculated risks. And I think that’s something at a young age I admire.”
But Orlando’s 3-year-old daughter Daisy—whom he shares with fiancée Katy Perry—is a totally different story.
In a playful manner, I once quipped, “There seems to be a hint of unconventional wisdom,” referring to her. Observing her ascend the stairs, I found myself in awe, thinking, “She’s clearly gearing up for something extraordinary.” For as soon as she could take steps, she displayed an uncanny ability to climb.
Regarding Katy, she feels deeply grateful for getting a direct experience of Orlando’s bond with Flynn, since it significantly impacted her personal path towards becoming a mother.
In 2022, she shared on the Dear Chelsea podcast that despite being very nurturing towards her friends and fans, who often referred to her as “mom,” she struggled with feelings of not being maternal in a traditional sense. She added, “There was a slight disconnect for me when it came to motherhood.”
But it was seeing Orlando with Flynn that made her realize she was interested in having a baby.
Katy mentioned, “I indeed took that trip and discovered areas that required a bit of adjustment.” She also shared her experience of witnessing how amazing a father he was towards his firstborn child.
