Since 2013, this five-member group has been getting people up and moving worldwide due to their unique fusion of indie rock and Britpop sounds.
In 2014, Blossoms made their debut in the UK music industry with the success of their initial single “You Pulled a Gun on Me,” which was followed by appearances at various UK festivals such as The Great Escape and Reading and Leeds.
Establishing a strong foundation, the Stockport band’s career took off dramatically. Their 2015 single “Charlemagne” made it into the UK’s top 100, and the next year, their self-titled debut album reigned atop the album charts for two weeks in a row. Subsequently, it was recognized with nominations for both the BRIT Awards and Mercury Prize.
Over the subsequent four years, I witnessed an incredible surge of success for the band, as they released two additional studio albums that catapulted them to even greater heights. Their concerts were sold-out events, and they graced festival stages all over the world. The cherry on top? A breathtaking hometown show at Stockport County’s Edgeley Park.
From their very beginning, Blossoms have consistently appeared at summer festivals. However, lockdown disrupted this pattern, leading them to utilize the downtime by releasing a double album titled Foolish Loving Spaces. Once they received permission, they returned to performing live on stage.
