“I’m in hospital at the moment and wanted to take this moment to say thank you,” she wrote.

And to my family and friends, who have been nothing short of extraordinary throughout – thank you from the bottom of my heart, your love means the world to me.

“I’d also like to express my gratitude to my colleagues from @itg_ltd, @bbc6music, @bbctheoneshow, and Desert Island Discs, as well as everyone else who has supported me. A big thank you for understanding and allowing the time off I required to recover.”

She additionally took advantage of the opportunity to encourage individuals to undergo examinations if they notice themselves postponing a test or skipping an appointment. “I strongly recommend doing it right away,” she penned.
