As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for ninja and samurai games, I can confidently say that my heart skipped a beat when I heard about Ghostrunner 2. Having traversed the neon-lit cybernetic cityscape of the original Ghostrunner, I’m eager to jump back on the rails and slice through hordes of enemies once more as our cyber-ninja hero, Jack. The addition of new abilities and a rogue-like mode sounds like a perfect blend of challenge and progression that I can’t wait to tackle.
If there’s one thing that’s been proven over many decades of gaming, it’s that you can never have enough ninja and samurai games. The cool factor is undeniable, from slicing through hordes of enemies on your lonesome with a katana, engaging in duels to the death, or infiltrating fortresses and assassinating targets with cunning and stealth. Ghostrunner 2
Despite the upgraded motorcycle sections, larger levels, and forays into cyberspace, make no mistake – the protagonist Jack in Ghostrunner 2 remains every bit the cyber-ninja badass as he was in the original game. Dodge attacks, slash through enemies, navigate neon-lit environments using parkour, and execute one-hit kills are all still integral to the gameplay. The new abilities and rogue-like mode enrich the experience, though mastering them may require a fair amount of trial and error to make progress.
