New Xbox Series X/S Models Launch on October 15th, Pre-orders Now Available

As a long-time gamer with memories of waiting in line for midnight console releases, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and nostalgia at the news of the Xbox Series X/S consoles hitting shelves this October! I remember the anticipation leading up to those moments, the camaraderie of fellow gamers waiting alongside me, and the pure joy of finally getting my hands on that coveted new hardware.


Microsoft commenced day one of its Xbox livestreams at Gamescom 2024 with the announcement of a release date for its new Xbox Series X/S consoles, set to hit stores on October 15th, and then in selected countries on October 29th. Pre-orders are now available; take a look at the trailer below.

Among them are the Xbox Series S 1 TB (referred to as Robot White), the Xbox Series X Digital Edition 1 TB (also known as Robot White), and the Xbox Series X Special Edition 2 TB (Galaxy Black). As previously mentioned, the Digital Edition lacks a disc drive and is priced at $449.99. In comparison, the Xbox Series S 1 TB is available for $349.99, while the 2 TB version retails for $599.99.

Microsoft additionally shared a roster featuring various locations where the latest gaming consoles can be purchased. This list encompasses countries such as the United States, Spain, Sweden, Mexico, Greece, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, among numerous others.

In some regions, certain countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, India, Israel, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey, and UAE have access to consoles, though availability may differ. More specifics will be shared later on. So, keep an eye out for further updates.
