As a seasoned gamer who’s been following the wrestling scene since the glory days of WCW and WWF, I can hardly contain my excitement for AEW All In 2022! The card looks stacked, and with Sting potentially making an appearance, it promises to be a night of unforgettable action.
As a long-time wrestling enthusiast, I am absolutely thrilled to announce that this upcoming Sunday, August 25th, I will be tuning into AEW All In pay-per-view, held at Wembley Stadium. With its card already locked in, this event promises to be an unforgettable night of high-octane action. From the pre-show to the main event, there are a total of 10 matches scheduled, including several title defenses that I can’t wait to see.
Under the cover of night, an array of stars will shine brightly, among them a legendary figure who once graced the AEW ring. As per Fightful Select’s report, it appears that Sting himself is expected to attend the upcoming event, though his role remains uncertain – he might simply be in town or he may play a part in the show itself. Intriguingly, Darby Allin has hinted in recent interviews that Sting has been making appearances backstage within AEW.
Last year, Sting joined forces with Darby Allin in a Coffin match against Christian Cage and Swerve Strickland during festivities. This year, Sting decided to hang up his wrestling boots after competing alongside Darby for the AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Young Bucks. With their victory, they retired as champions, leading to a new set of champions, who turned out to be Matthew and Nicholas Jackson.
1. In a match that perfectly suits Darby’s daring style – the renowned Coffin match – Perry opted for the rules himself, aiming to outperform Darby at his specialty. This could be an ideal opportunity for Sting to support his ex-tag team partner, considering the unique dynamics of last year’s bout. Notably, even though Sting has retired, wrestling runs deep in his family, with his son, Steven, currently undergoing training to join the ring alongside Darby.
Back in March, I shared with ComicBook that since stepping into the ring alongside my father at AEW Revolution, the waters have become a bit clearer for me. Whenever someone asks if I’d consider joining him, I’m not deciding whether to show up, but rather if I’d try it out. It seems quite arrogant to claim that I get to decide who deserves my presence. Frankly, I haven’t earned anything so far – neither the fans’ respect nor a spot in AEW. So, no matter who my dad is, I would say that as someone aspiring to be part of AEW, I’m just like any other hopeful out there.
Stay tuned to ComicBook for news and updates on AEW.
