As a long-time fan of AEW and a witness to some of the most intense rivalries in professional wrestling, I must say that Toni Storm versus Mariah May at All In is shaping up to be an epic showdown. The buildup to this match has been nothing short of captivating, with these two former allies turning into bitter enemies, each determined to prove their superiority.
Toni Storm is set to keep her AEW Women’s World Championship title at the upcoming event, All In. However, it’s not just a simple title defense, as Storm will be squaring off against her former protégé, Mariah May, in a heated and violent feud. Prior to this anticipated showdown, Storm must first defend her Title against Saraya on tonight’s AEW Dynamite. Storm and Saraya used to be allies, but Storm remained focused despite the interference from Harley Cameron, and ultimately managed to defeat Saraya and retain her Championship. In the end, May ambushed Storm with a shoe once more, hugging her former friend before pushing her down to the mat and taunting her to conclude the segment.
Outcasts Reunion
In this encounter, Saraya aggressively advanced towards Storm, who swiftly countered by pushing her back and rejoiced. However, an immediate cover move followed but Saraya managed to raise her shoulder at the one-count mark. Storm then kept Saraya on edge with a series of dodges and made another attempt at covering, but Saraya reacted promptly by kicking out. Saraya enticed Storm towards her and landed several knee strikes in return. Next, Harley Cameron forcefully impacted Storm’s head against the barricade, and Saraya subsequently sent Storm crashing to the ground.
Saraya persistently attacked Storm beyond the boundary, pressing her against the barrier and squeezing her neck and back before hurling her into the barrier a second time. Later, while the referee was preoccupied, Cameron delivered a couple more blows to Storm.
In the wrestling ring, Saraya maintained dominance, knocking Storm to the ground and attempting a cover, but Storm managed to push herself free. Saraya then hoisted Storm high in the air, executing a flipping power bomb followed by a massive slam, only for the pin attempt to be foiled as Storm grasped the bottom rope. In a swift retaliation, Storm turned a move around and tried to pin Saraya, but she managed to escape.
Don’t Celebrate Just Yet
After attempting a hit on Storm, I found myself baffled when she gracefully dodged my attack and unexpectedly planted a kiss on me. This left me momentarily speechless, and just as I regained my senses, Saraya barreled in, sending me crashing to the ground. In the confusion, Storm seized the opportunity to return the affection with another kiss, followed swiftly by her signature move, the big finisher. With me still dazed, she managed to claim victory and hold onto her AEW World Championship.
When I thought I had finally won, out of the blue, Mariah May sneaked up from behind and blindsided me with a shoe to the back of my head. She then hoisted me up and planted a kiss on my cheek before mocking me, taunting the Champion she once mentored under.
