As a seasoned Marvel fan with years of binge-watching and comic book reading under my belt, I can confidently say that Anthony Mackie’s interview about Captain America: Brave New World has me buzzing with excitement! The fact that Sam Wilson is now Cap, running missions on his own, and figuring out where he fits in the world is a dream come true. And let’s not forget about Harrison Ford joining the MCU as President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross – it’s like a fantasy crossover I never knew I needed!
In a recent episode of The Official Marvel Podcast, Anthony Mackie, who portrays Sam Wilson (the new Captain America), discussed his character’s activities following The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Following the big reveals at San Diego Comic-Con, Mackie shared some insights about the upcoming return of Sam Wilson. In a playful jab, Mackie also took another swipe at Tom Holland. Captain America: Brave New World, set to release early next year, will feature the anticipated confrontation between the MCU hero and Red Hulk. To generate excitement, Marvel is actively promoting both Mackie and Harrison Ford by sharing tantalizing glimpses of the upcoming battle. Indeed, here he is, Captain America! Mackie chuckled. Now, we witness him embarking on solo missions and attempting to find his place in the grand scheme of things. It surpasses anything shown in Tom Holland’s films. Plus, I get to work with Harrison Ford!
Mackie had some nice words to say about his Falcon and the Winter Soldier ally Danny Ramirez returning as Joaquin Torrez. He teased the new Falcon, “The stuff that he’s doing with his character and what he brings. The flavor, the beauty, the joy he brings to that character. I feel like it brings a whole new energy to the Marvel Universe.” In addition, Ramirez is hyped to put those wings on. “It’s a beautiful generational baton passing… To put that on and to feel how I felt. To have to do some stuff and feel, ‘Oh, this is the movie we’re making.’ I was finally able to see what it was like for Anthony [Mackie] to put on the suit.”
Harrison Ford Is Thunderbolt Ross
