With the recent cast announcement, Katey Sagal has been chosen for the role of Kureha. Fans may recognize Sagal from her roles in Married With Children, Futurama, and Sons of Anarchy. Lately, Sagal expressed her feelings about joining the quest to make Luffy the king of pirates in the live-action series.
Beyond Sagal portraying Dr. Kureha, it has been confirmed that Mark Harelik will also star in the live-action adaptation of One Piece, assuming the role of Dr. Hiriluk. These two field doctors are crucial in caring for the inhabitants of Drum Island and aim to educate Tony Tony Chopper. In a recent interview, Katey Sagal expressed her excitement about joining the live-action Straw Hat Pirates for their second Netflix appearance: “I’m so excited to be a part of this show! In the forthcoming season of One Piece on Netflix, it’s expected that key characters such as Tony Tony Chopper, along with Princess Vivi, Nico Robin, Crocodile, and others, could make an appearance.
