As a longtime fan of Kojima Productions, the anticipation for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is reaching a fever pitch! With my past experiences of waiting years for new installments from this mastermind of storytelling, I can’t help but feel like a kid on Christmas Eve.
At the Tokyo Game Show 2024, Kojima Productions is set to hold a special event for “Death Stranding 2: On The Beach” on September 29th. This event will offer insight into the game’s development progress and will include appearances by actors such as Kenjiro Tsuda and Nana Mizuki.
In the latest character outlines, it appears that two actors may have been playfully hinted at, stirring rumors they’re part of the Japanese voiceover team. Additionally, Nicolas Winding Refn, who previously did motion capture for Heartman in the initial game, artist Daichi Miura, and actors Tomokazu Sugita and Shion Wakayama are also attending. Lastly, the director himself, Hideo Kojima, will be in attendance as well.
The unique stage event unfolds between 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM (Japan Standard Time) on the specified date. Besides fresh details, there might be a debut of a new trailer and gameplay clips. Furthermore, it’s possible that Kojima will reveal a potential launch period for the upcoming sequel, which is scheduled to drop in 2025 exclusively on PS5. They completed filming and recording back in May, and now they are moving into the fine-tuning phase.
The Tokyo Game Show 2024 will take place from September 26th to September 29th. Keep an eye out for further information and announcements about participating companies.
