Next week, Studio Zero is set to launch a new livestream featuring Metaphor: ReFantazio, but they’ve already unveiled an exciting new trailer for this fantasy RPG at Xbox @ Gamescom 2024. During the live broadcast, Director Katsura Hashino provided additional information about the optional activities available in the game. Moving between destinations on the Gauntlet Runner enables players to engage with allies, which helps in strengthening relationships (building Bonds) and enhancing character types (Archetypes). Interestingly, you can also participate in a board game reminiscent of Chess with these characters.
In towns and cities, a diverse assortment of tasks can be found, encompassing activities like cliff diving and monster-slaying among others. As your journey unfolds, new sub-quests become accessible. Moreover, the unique tone of the main character, as mentioned by Hashino, is designed to infuse more individuality and deepen your bond with him.
