As a gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that Universal Studios Japan is hitting it out of the park (or should I say, out of the Poke Ball) this year. The Pokemon Halloween event they’ve announced is something that any dedicated Trainer would dream of attending.
Since the beginning of the Pokemon journey, fans of both anime and video games have been introduced to more than one thousand pocket-sized creatures. Over time, numerous creepy ones have emerged among these many critters, such as Gengar, Haunter, Misdreavus, Chadelure, and many others. These ghostly Pokemon have become popular choices for Halloween every year. Now, it has been announced that Universal Studios Japan will host a Pokemon-themed Halloween event this season, joining its usual roster of anime attractions and events.
Every autumn, I can always count on theme parks to immerse me in the thrilling atmosphere of Halloween! Disney Parks and Universal Studios in North America never fail to deliver, hosting spine-tingling events each year. At Disney, I’ve enjoyed experiences like “Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party” and the “Oogie Boogie Bash”. For Universal Studios on the West Coast, they transform into a chilling playground with Halloween Horror Nights, featuring terrifying attractions based on popular franchises such as Ghostbusters, A Quiet Place, Insidious, and the Universal Monsters. And if you find yourself in Universal Studios Japan during Halloween, you won’t want to miss out on their unique attraction centered around Chainsaw Man and his eerie universe, making it a must-visit for any fan!
Pokemon’s Halloween Extravaganza
Supporters eager to join the Pokemon Halloween Party happening in Japan have from September 5th to November 4th to explore the event itself. The “Sunset Show” will run from October 14th to November 4th, so remember this timeframe if you’re aiming to witness the entire performance. Regrettably, there has been no news yet about this Pokemon celebration crossing the ocean and occurring in North America.

As a lifelong Pokemon fan, I can hardly contain my excitement for this year’s Halloween party at Universal Studios Japan! With DJ Pikachu & DJ Gengar spinning tunes and ghost-type Pokemon adding to the spooky atmosphere, it promises to be an unforgettable experience. The original music by DECO*27 and the familiar Pokemon sounds will get everyone dancing and jumping, releasing our pent-up energy. I can already feel the electricity building up, ready to reach MAX! The “sunset show” with its thrilling lighting is sure to set the mood even higher. This party is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of everything that makes Pokemon special for me and countless other fans around the world. I can’t wait to be part of the action and feel like the star myself!
