WWE Reveals Title Open Challenge for Bash in Berlin

WWE Reveals Title Open Challenge for Bash in Berlin

As a seasoned wrestling fan with over two decades under my belt (and a few gray hairs to prove it), I must say that LA Knight’s victory last night was nothing short of exhilarating! The drama, the tension, and the sheer athleticism on display were all top-notch.

Tonight on WWE SmackDown, LA Knight clinched his initial victory as the U.S. Champion, triumphing against Santos Escobar despite the latter’s numerical superiority. Escobar earned the right to face Knight due to some underhanded interference from Carmelo Hayes during his bout with Andrade. With a new challenger on the horizon, Knight is now seeking one. Instead of waiting passively, Knight seized control following his match against Escobar and declared an open challenge for the U.S. Championship at Bash in Berlin.

Who Will Challenge Knight?

Based on the last bout, it seems likely that Andrade might re-enter the competition for the title at our upcoming high-tier event. This could lead to Hayes joining the fray as well, or possibly preventing another opportunity for Andrade if he doesn’t get directly involved. Additionally, someone new could step up and challenge, even coming from Monday Night Raw.

Among the contenders we don’t anticipate for this title match are Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton, as they are either defending or vying for other titles. It’s possible that someone from The Bloodline could be chosen, but that would likely be either Solo Sikoa or Jacob Fatu, since Tonga Loa and Tama Tonga are the current Tag Team Champions. Given that Fatu is still in a boot, it seems unlikely they’d put him in another title match without it being connected to Roman Reigns’ storyline. As for Sikoa, it’s not likely he’d pursue the US Title at this time.

Another renowned star, AJ Styles, often known as The Phenomenal One, is making a comeback to SmackDown. Unfortunately, Styles and Knight had a lengthy rivalry prior to Knight’s title win, which was before the Logan Paul feud. It might be too soon to rekindle that feud given Styles’ return, as it may feel like retracing old steps. However, let’s see what new developments unfold as we eagerly await the unveiling of this star. Meanwhile, here is the latest lineup for Bash in Berlin.
