Love Island USA Stars Reveal What Viewers Don’t See on TV

As a former Love Island contestant, I can certainly relate to the struggles of sharing a small space with multiple roommates. The constant snoring, late-night conversations, and unexpected noises were all part of the daily routine. It was like being in a dormitory, but with added drama and romance!

As a devoted fan of Love Island USA, I’ve observed more than just the heartbreaks and lasting connections shown on screen during season six. There were countless unrecorded moments that added depth to the contestants’ experiences.

Certainly, even with all the games and emotional eliminations, they still found ample opportunities for conversation on the deck, sharing cozy moments in their common bedroom, and indulging in their preferred treats.

Liv Walker confessed during an exclusive chat with TopMob News that “I truly enjoyed every bite of food.” If you inquired, “I’d likely be identified as the person who consumed the most snacks.” They presented a montage of instances where I was seen carrying all the treats, and it made me feel a tad worried. However, there was always an abundance of supplies on hand.

Nicole Jacky shared her favorite snack from the Islanders, stating, “One snack I particularly enjoyed was the chicken chips. It seems they aren’t common in America, but they were certainly tasty.”

She mentioned, “I don’t have a strong sweet tooth, but I did consume quite a few gummies over there. Not to forget the toasties as well.”

For Kaylor Martin, the gummies were her preferred choice as well. She enthusiastically shared, “The pancakes, cookies, and gummies were simply delightful, albeit in an unusual manner, since we would consume them rapidly.”

In a house inhabited by people in their twenties, it wasn’t uncommon for things to become disorderly at times. Fortunately, we had an exceptional cleaning team based in Fiji who worked diligently to maintain a clean and well-maintained environment for us. The locals were surprised by their efficiency as they managed to keep everything neat even with the presence of camera crews.

Liv remarked, “Our team is truly exceptional,” she said. “In fact, they excel in their roles more so because their work often goes unseen. It’s those behind-the-scenes tasks, such as maintaining a neat lawn, that most people don’t want to see.”

Fans could easily detect if the actors were uncomfortable because some individuals are highly sensitive to cleanliness and would vocalize displeasure if the linens aren’t changed daily. Additionally, many of us have long hair, so it wouldn’t take much for telltale signs to appear on the furniture or set pieces.

However, unlike the fans, Kordell Beckham provided a peek into the process of maintaining a clean and orderly bedroom.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’d rephrase it this way: “I’ll often find myself stepping away for a moment, perhaps to prepare a meal or attend to something else. Upon returning, I’ve noticed that in my absence, the ladies are not just touching up their makeup, but they’re also tidying up the room. They’re changing the bedsheets and even swapping out pillowcases. It’s amazing to see them clean the entire space, from the beds to the carpets.”

Kenny Rodriguez additionally commended the staff at the villa, saying, “The crew in Fiji is fantastic.” He went on to express, “They truly made us feel comfortable.”

Speaking from my perspective as a lifestyle advisor, allow me to share an observation I once made: “On several occasions, I noticed what appeared to be a bandage hidden beneath the bed linens over a span of days. This discovery certainly gave me pause.”

As a devoted admirer of our shared abode, I couldn’t help but ponder the frequency of the cleaning team’s visits. Based on my personal observations and tests, it seems they might be changing the sheets daily. Yet, let me make this clear to allay any concerns – we’re far from living amidst dirt and grime. Cleanliness is a priority here, every day or otherwise!

Nicole, who often named her then-partner Kendall among the significant sources of nocturnal snoring, confessed that she resorted to her own strategies for achieving a tranquil sleep. However, she emphasized that their living quarters on the island weren’t just plagued by snoring, but they faced other challenges as well.

She confided that she often used earplugs, but there were times when exhaustion set in and she forgot to use them. On those nights, the sounds of snoring or couples kissing would keep her awake, resulting in restless slumber.

While Kordell revealed that next to nothing stood in the way from his slumber, he found it funny that “when you’re up, you start hearing people kissing and s–t.”

Nevertheless, he made it clear that such disturbances did not trouble him in the slightest. Upon hearing sounds like smooching, someone munching on gum or crunching something, he would simply burst out laughing, then roll over and continue dozing off.

Kenny, meanwhile, made sure to take three melatonin every night to drown out the noise.

He clarified, “They’re greeting each other with kisses, it seems they’re engaging in a conversation, discussing the day’s events, much like a podcast. It’s quite peculiar being in the same room. I should mention, I attended boarding school, so I’ve had similar experiences. However, these couples appear excessively excited.”

Although the villa was kept neat and tidy, it felt somewhat confined in certain aspects, much like the single bedroom on ‘Love Island’. This is the room where each contestant sleeps during their stay, unless they are lucky enough to visit the hideaway or a night of tension in the villa results in being banished to sleep on the deck.

And having many, many roommates come with its own set of challenges.

Kaylor expressed to TopMob that the most challenging aspect of sleeping with Kordell, Kendall Washington, and Miguel Harichi was their persistent, ear-splitting snoring every night. It got so loud that Kaylor would often wake up in the dead of night, looking exhausted, and shake them to try and stop the noise.

In agreement with her friend, Liv expressed, “At times, you feel so drained and it’s as if you say, ‘Gosh, could you just stop for a moment?'”

In the spirit of taking charge when necessary, I made it clear to Kendall that if I were to hear his snoring again, I’d gently cover his nose to make him startle and breathe more deeply.

As a die-hard fan, let me confess: I’ve always been on edge when it comes to my beloved Kendall, but her snoring was truly a challenge for tranquil slumber. However, I had my own bag of tricks to ensure restful nights. Yet, it wasn’t just the snoring that the Islanders were grappling with; there were other hurdles too.

She confided that she often used earplugs, but there were times when exhaustion would set in and she’d forget about them. On those nights, the sounds of snoring or couples engaging intimately would fill the air, making it difficult for her to enjoy a peaceful slumber.

Kordell shared that virtually nothing prevented him from sleeping, but it amused him when he was awake, he began to hear people kissing and similar sounds.

Nevertheless, he made it clear that such incidents didn’t bother him in the slightest. Upon hearing sounds like kissing, someone eating or chewing gum, or any strange noise, he would simply burst into laughter and go back to sleep without a care.

Kenny, meanwhile, made sure to take three melatonin every night to drown out the noise.

“He explained that they were not actually fighting or arguing, but rather expressing affection for each other, much like guests on a talk show discussing the day’s events. He found it peculiar being in their presence, especially since he had spent time at boarding school and was somewhat accustomed to such situations. However, he considered these couples to be overly enthusiastic or passionate.”

However, despite occasional interruptions from late-night chats and snuggly couples, the communal area served as a reminder to the Islanders of their strong connection.

Reflecting on those cherished moments, I always looked forward to late-night gatherings before turning in, when you’d join us all huddled on the bed for engaging conversations. It’s easy to overlook such instances. Truth be told, I have a soft spot for sleepovers, and I must admit, the camaraderie of those casual chats on the bed and starting the day with everyone present is something I hold dear.

She remarked, “Regardless of what transpired that evening, there was a tendency for the atmosphere to change, becoming more light-hearted and carefree.”

Each shared morning and evening moment made me realize how bonded we were, as Kenny so eloquently expressed, “It struck me then that we’re not just family, but an extraordinary circle of friends, truly one-of-a-kind.”

The Love Island USA season six reunion is now streaming on Peacock.
