DC Celebrates All In Initiative with New Justice League Cards

As a lifelong DC fan who has seen the rise and fall of many comic book arcs, I must say that the “DC All In” initiative has me genuinely thrilled! The prospect of new Justice League cards for fans who buy a few DC books is like a sweet, nostalgic cherry on top. It’s reminiscent of those golden days when collecting comics was as much about the rewards as it was about the stories.

Starting this October, DC’s All In initiative is ramping up, and they’ve sweetened the deal for comic stores and enthusiasts joining the fray. Under the All In umbrella, all of DC’s main titles will be included, along with the debut of the new DC Absolute series. In a recent social media post, writer Scott Snyder announced that throughout October, DC will provide retailers with free Justice League cards to distribute to fans who purchase selected DC books during that week. The specific number of books needed hasn’t been disclosed yet, but you can get a sneak peek at the cards in the image below.

On X Snyder posted an image of a card, captioned as, “Kick-starting everything the first week of October with DC ALL IN #1 Special! This special edition highlights the resurrection of the Justice League. Each week in October, retailers will hand out a free Justice league card to customers who purchase any DC comics. A big thank you for your weekly purchases!”

The image shows off the covers to Absolute Batman, Absolute Superman, and Absolute Wonder Woman, and then shows off cards for Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman in their modern classic looks. We also get the blank card and then the Darkseid version, so if you’re wanting to pick one up make sure to add some DC books to the list that week.

DC’s All In

Kickoff for the epic event titled “DC All In” commences with the release of DC All In Special #1 penned by Scott Snyder, Joshua Williamson, Daniel Sampere, and Wes Craig. This unique flip book style presents Sampere’s artistry from one direction while highlighting Craig’s work in the opposite direction. The 64-page standalone issue continues post-Absolute Power and marks the beginning of the DC Absolute line. Here are previews for the upcoming debuts of Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman within “DC All In.”

In issue #14 of Wonder Woman (October 16), written by Tom King and illustrated by Daniel Sampere, the situation is shifting in Wonder Woman’s fight against the Sovereign. Steve Trevor steps up, acting independently, with actions that prove fatal. However, this might mark the start of Diana’s most thrilling journey yet – motherhood!

In the comics, issues #153-154 of Batman, written by Chip Zdarsky with art by Jorge Jimenez and Carmine Di Giandomenico, return with a powerful new storyline called “The Dying City.” The Riddler makes an unexpected move, a fresh superhero named Commander Star emerges, and the stunning murder of a prominent Gotham City citizen leaves Batman grappling with two issues per month in October.

In issue #19 of Superman (released October 23), renowned artist Dan Mora teams up with Joshua Williamson for a fresh storyline stemming from Absolute Power. The Man of Steel and Superwoman, who is none other than Lois Lane, confront the resurgence of the destructive Doomsday. However, the duration of Lois’s recently acquired powers remains uncertain. And to make matters worse, another formidable adversary of Superman, the Time Trapper, lies in wait, adding yet another layer of danger.
