As a long-time EastEnders fan, I must say that this upcoming trial of Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) is truly intriguing! The suspense is palpable as we watch Sharon (Letitia Dean) bravely give her testimony on the witness stand. It’s been a rollercoaster ride for the characters, especially The Six, who have been through so much to bring Dean to justice for his heinous actions.
In upcoming scenes, Sharon from EastEnders will face intense questioning on the witness stand during Dean Wicks’ trial, as suggested by the latest spoiler images.
Starting from Monday, 2nd September, newly released visuals offer a glimpse into the continuation of the BBC soap opera, where we’ll uncover the ultimate destiny of the malevolent character, Dean, revealing his final outcome.
As I gaze at the photos, there’s a sense of unease that radiates from Sharon (Letitia Dean), her demeanor hinting at tension as she faces questioning. Meanwhile, the rest of The Six, excluding Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), seem to be biting their nails in apprehension, their eyes fixed on the scene unfolding before them.
Previously this year, Dean (Matt Di Angelo) was taken into custody and accused of killing Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters). This situation arose when he was tricked by The Six.
In reality, it was Linda who perpetrated the crime, tragically stabbing Keanu during a frantic effort to protect her friend Sharon from her fiancé’s brutal chokehold.
In the world of cinema, if I were to find myself in a situation where my fellow film enthusiasts concocted a scheme to frame me for a crime, it would be due in part to feelings of revenge, stemming from an act I had committed – the heinous crime of assaulting Linda. A crime that, up until then, had managed to evade the grasp of justice.
In these revealing images, it’s clear that the plan has come to its climax. Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth), and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) are among the spectators as Sharon provides testimony, with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) being part of the plot too.
Will their plot succeed, or will Dean get off again?
It seems clear that after the decision has been made, we won’t get to see Dean anymore on EastEnders, as Matt Di Angelo himself has confirmed to The Sun during the TopMob Soap Awards red carpet event that he will be leaving the show once this storyline concludes.
He mentioned, “There’s an upcoming court case,” he shared. “I’m aware of its outcome since we’ve previously recorded it. I could disclose the details, but choosing not to, as it would spoil the broadcast.”
“The speaker compared Dean to the World Cup, suggesting that one can tolerate a taste of him every six years and then, following a week, feels satisfied with having had enough.”
In his comments, Di Angelo implied that Dean won’t return to the Square after the trial. The question is whether this means he’ll be in prison or if the character will be acquitted and choose to live elsewhere instead of Walford. The truth shall be revealed in due time…
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One and from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
