As a longtime observer and admirer of the British Royal Family, it’s always fascinating to see the personal lives of these public figures intertwine with their royal duties. The past few weeks have been particularly eventful, starting with the Duchess of York’s diagnosis of malignant melanoma, a stark reminder of the importance of regular health checks.
Spotted: Kate Middleton on a rare family outing.
I was absolutely thrilled to see myself, as an ardent fan, being part of the scene where I (Princess of Wales) arrived at the enchanting Crathie Kirk church in the picturesque Scottish village of Crathie, accompanied by none other than my chauffeur and dear son, Prince William. By my side was our eldest, the charming 11-year-old Prince George, as we all prepared to attend the Sunday service at this venerable place of worship, nestled near the royal family’s beloved Balmoral estate.
For the first time in over a month, Kate – currently undergoing cancer treatments – made her initial public, in-person appearance. She was spotted donning a beige plaid Holland Cooper jacket, a brown fedora trimmed with feathers, and gold dangling earrings. These images were published by HELLO! magazine.
Not spotted: Kate and William’s youngest children, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
During the ceremony, King Charles III, currently fighting cancer, along with Queen Camilla, graced the event as well. They both donned traditional Scottish attire, where King Charles sported a red and green kilt and a gray jacket. Additionally, Prince Edward, accompanied by his wife Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, made an appearance, as did other esteemed members of the royal family.
42-year-old Kate has largely avoided public attention since her March announcement about her cancer treatment, which she shared in a video. Two weeks later, she was spotted at a church gathering, coinciding with the release of a tribute video she and William made for the British Olympic team on the closing day of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
“From all of us watching at home,” Kate said, “congratulations to Team GB.”
In the video, William had sported a slight beard. He appeared clean-shaved at the church service.
Earlier in July, the princess was spotted attending the men’s singles final of Wimbledon alongside her daughter and her sister, Pippa Middleton. At this public event, Kate, who appeared stunning in a purple gown, drew applause from the crowd during the tennis tournament.

On March 22nd, I felt compelled to share some personal news. Following my abdominal surgery in January, I received a diagnosis of cancer. This journey has been unexpected, but I am determined to face it head-on.
Initially, it was believed my condition wasn’t cancerous. Fortunately, the surgery went well. However, post-operative tests revealed that cancer was indeed present. Consequently, my healthcare providers suggested a regimen of preventive chemotherapy, and I am currently in the early stages of this treatment.
Ever since the captivating image shared by Kensington Palace on March 10, following my beloved Kate Middleton’s abdominal surgery, raised suspicions about its authenticity, I felt compelled to address these allegations head-on as an ardent fan. Here’s what our cherished Princess of Wales had to say…
On occasion, much like an enthusiastic amateur photographer, I dabble in editing. Yesterday, I unintentionally stirred up some confusion with the family photo we posted. I deeply apologize for any misunderstanding and wish nothing but joyful celebrations to everyone marking Mother’s Day. Sincerely, C.
In the United Kingdom, Princess Diana’s niece chose to celebrate Mother’s Day by intimating that she and her spouse, Michael Lewis, had quietly given birth to their first child.

He remains optimistic about his recovery and eagerly awaits resuming all public duties as soon as he can.

Following the announcement of Kate’s hospital stay, it was disclosed by Buckingham Palace that Charles has been undergoing treatment for a condition known as an enlarged prostate.
In my role as a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share an update about our beloved monarch: His health condition is fortunately benign, and next week he will visit the hospital for a corrective procedure.
