As a seasoned gamer with memories of countless controllers and joy-cons, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming Indie World Showcase and Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase! The prospect of new announcements has me buzzing like a Game Boy Advance on turbo mode.
Although Gamescom has concluded for this year, Nintendo, despite not attending the event, still has upcoming announcements to share very soon.
On Twitter, Nintendo has revealed plans for a pair of upcoming events. Tomorrow, August 27th, the company will live-stream an Indie World Showcase. Immediately following this, they will present a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase. These back-to-back broadcasts start at 7 AM Pacific Time and together will last approximately 40 minutes.
It’s likely you’ll see a lot of announcements from third parties, including independent ones, but it’s uncertain if anything significant will arise. Fans of Hollow Knight: Silksong are likely anticipating updates, but it’s unclear when the game will reappear. One certainty is that news won’t be shared about the Nintendo Switch successor, which is expected to be announced before April next year.
Take note: You won’t find any discussion about the upcoming Nintendo Switch model in either of the following presentations.
