The Wolfman Howls Onto 4K With Extended Director's Cut

As a seasoned gamer of life, hailing from the misty moors of Transylvania, I must say that the upcoming 4K release of “The Wolfman” has me howling with excitement! Having grown up listening to the haunting yarns spun by my elders around the flickering hearth, this modern adaptation of a classic monster tale holds a special place in my heart.

For the very first time, the legend springs to life in stunning 4K clarity when the moon is full. Boutique studio Shout! Factory will be releasing the meticulously restored 4K version of the 2010 film “The Wolfman”, starring Benecio del Toro as a man under a terrible curse who turns into a werewolf during the blooming of wolfbane and when the autumn moon is bright. This timely release, available from October 22nd, offers fans not only the theatrical version but also an unrated extended cut by director Joe Johnston, featuring an additional 16 minutes of footage.

In a modern adaptation of the 1941 Universal Monster movie where Lon Chaney Jr. portrayed the wolf character, this film also features Emily Blunt, Hugo Weaving, and Sir Anthony Hopkins in prominent roles. Apart from the standard Collector’s Edition (which is now available for pre-order on Amazon), a special edition of the three-disc 4K set from Shout! comes with an exclusive touch: a limited-edition poster displaying the original movie artwork, as well as another limited-edition poster and alternate slipcover adorned with fresh artwork by the CRP Group.
